Services
Scaling (cleaning)
The removal of soft plaque and calculus (the hard buildup that cannot be removed with your toothbrush).
Dental Hygiene exam/assessment
This includes medical and dental history review, oral cancer screening, assessment of the teeth, gums, tongue, lips, throat, face, neck and salivary glands and a customized treatment plan that will outline recommended treatment and frequency of dental hygiene care.
Polishing
After scaling, a polish may be completed to remove stain and any remaining plaque
Fluoride
Fluoride treatment helps prevent tooth decay for those at higher risk. The application of the fluoride varnish is quick and easy. This is often recommended for seniors due to decreased oral hygiene care and reduced salivary production. It is a safe and cost-effective preventive measure that can be performed every 3-6 months.
Antimicrobial Agent- Silver Diamine Fluoride
Silver Diamine Fluoride (SDF) arrests the progression of an already formed cavity in a tooth. It works as an antimicrobial and remineralizes the lesion to prevent progression. Areas of decay and demineralization will be stained black as a result. For best success at arresting decay reapplications are recommended (1-3 weeks after initial placement, and then at 6 months and 1-year intervals).
Denture cleaning and labelling
Desensitizer
Desensitizer is used to reduce or eliminate sensitivity of teeth.
Dentures can be cleaned in an ultrasonic bath with denture cleaner. Labelling of dentures can be completed on site.
